Dear Parkie,
To my great regret, it looks as if the Adams-Glennan branch of the family is not going to be represented at the Thanksgiving reunion this year.  Tom and Martha and Keith and his family are going to Indianapolis to be with Stuart and his family.  Some months ago Stuart called to ask and urge me to come with them and I said Yes.  We are to be joined in Indianapolis by Kitty, and her younger son Tom and his wife and their month-old baby, driving from Chicago just for the day, so there will be quite a reunion if the weather cooperates.

Fred and Polly are hosting their usual big Thanksgiving party in Saint Thomas.  Sally and Ted will be at Glenbow.  We shall be somewhat scattered at Christmas time too.  We had our big family gathering in February when over thirty of us met in Bermuda to celebrate my ninetieth birthday.  It was a wonderful occasion.

Will your new granddaughter get to the Thanksgiving dinner?  She must be adorable now.  I am sorry to miss meeting her.  I am looking forward to seeing my tenth great-grandchild, Jasper.  From Kitty's accounts, he is a happy placid baby, gaining weight commendably.  Kitty is living in Chicago right now, having accepted a temporary six month job at the seminary form which she got her degree, so she sees her latest grandchild regularly.

Everyone is busy, busy, busy.  My love to you and to all at the Thanksgiving reunion.
