An Ad from Donna's past makes it onto the Net!

Just found this picture on the net, and it brought back memories.  Believe it or not, this image was created in 1984 as a Johnson's Baby Powder magazine ad, and I was the marketing manager responsible for it.  We never did run the ad, but somehow the artwork found its way into the public domain - I have no idea how.

f you're interested in how these things really work, at the photo shoot we really had the diaper sling on a wooden trestle (kind of like a swing set).  It had a bunch of chicken wire and a wooden seat inside for the baby.  We had 6 babies at the shoot, but only about 3 of them were awake enough at the time the photographer was ready to shoot them.  The one we used was the most lively.

After the shoot, the artists went to work.  The wooden structure got airbrushed out, and the stork got airbrushed in, then they laid in the background.  For the ad, there was a bottle of baby powder across the baby's arm.
